Environmental Law: Practicing to Save the Planet
Interested in a career in law while at the same time doing your part to preserve our planet and water supply? Have you thought about studying environmental law? Environmental lawyers are lawyers who specialize in subject matters such as water pollution law and policy, environmental justice and federal natural resource law. You can study to become an environmental lawyer at many universities, including Gibbs school in NY and other prominent law schools around the US.
An environmental lawyer is often involved in trials and hearings in which individuals and companies are accused of not complying with laws that were created to protect the the environment. Environmental lawyers are specifically concerned with how large companies utilize land and other natural resources to make goods and products, including the any potentially harmful effects to the surrounding environment. Companies must comply with laws set by the government to consider environmental concerns, and environmental lawyers do their part to ensure that they do so.
